After exhaustive analysis and review, and as communicated to campus during FY19-20, Campus Business Services (CBS) ceased large scale, commercial print production in Digital Print Services (formerly Printing & Reprographics) as of July 1, 2020. This streamlining of operations allows Digital Print Services to better utilize resources to focus on essentials services such as affordable quick copy, academic printing and digital content/graphic design.
With FY20-21 bringing a new reality in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Digital Print Services has continued to assist departments with a small number of non-academic print jobs to assist in this transition. However, with the campus preparing for a return to in-person instruction in fall 2021, Digital Print Services will need to align with our strategic plan.
Therefore, effective July 1, 2021, Digital Print Services will narrow our focus to the following services lines:
- Secure Exam Printing
- Quick Copy Service
- Wide-Format Posters and Banners
- Business Cards and Letterhead
- Course Readers
- Dissertations
- Commencement Programs
- Graphic Design (provided by Auxiliary Design Services, can include printed goods/items)
These essential services can be ordered by emailing printingrequest@ucr.edu or via the P&R Work Order System on R’Space. Upon campus re-opening, in person service will also be available at the Highlander Service Station (located in its new location next to the UCR Bookstore).
Our team will continue to assist in making this transition as smooth as possible, and we are happy to answer any questions.
